if you don't want your ears to hurt next week, pick up the phones and vote tonight. vote as many times as you can.
1866-IDOLS-02 for Fantasia, who wins hands down.
1866-IDOLS-03 for Diana, who is off tonight, but what?? you want Jasmine back?? are you deaf?? [UPDATE: Diana's last song was the best of the night, she was amazing. She deserves to be in the final, and you all know it.]
vote for BOTH of these so that we're not tortured next week. PLEASE PLEASE. vote for FANTASIA AND DIANA.
btw, simon is great. every time he speaks tonight, i agree with him. i loved when he told Fantasia it was the worst thing he'd ever heard so she could get some sympathy votes. and did you see him wink at her after her 1st song?? how adorable was that??
in other news, who is that? Clive Griffin? [UPDATE: Clive Davis] i dunno, but he's a fine guest judge, as he actually criticizes.
and Paula -- still nothing useful to say.
Randy's vocabulary includes the words "yeah", "da bomb", "props" and "aight".
hey, whatever happens you can't blame me. i voted for diana and fantasia.

Clive Davis discovered Whitney and Alicia Keys, 'nuff said.

i tried to vote.
yeah, i think he also produced a lot of celine, but i may be wrong and i'm too lazy to look it up.

Clive Davis got lucky w/ ALicia Keys and before that he had not had a hit singer for 10 years. If Diana does not win it will be horrible, of course I haven't voted since Amy Adams was sent packing. If I had to guess, I would say that Fantasia is gone. I like her more than Jasmine, I just want to see the judges heads explode

If Jasmine stays it will kill the show. She is so incredibly mediocre when compared to the other two. Diana is great (I wouldn't have said that earlier in the show, she used to really bug me). But, Fantasia is just amazing. I hate the song "The Greatest Love of All". HATE IT!! But Fantasia made it worth listening to. I tried to vote but the lines were busy for Fantasia the whole time (which is a good sign because when I voted for George Huff, it was easy to vote so I did it a lot and he still was sent home, so busy lines are good). Anyway, I'm holding my breath tonight because nothing would surprise me after Amy, Jennifer and LaToya were sent home too soon.

you're right, unless they have a total overhaul in the voting system to make it actually reflect the voters' wishes, they're going to lose a ton of viewers next season. i tried voting for Fantasia and Diana both last night with no luck. i have a sick feeling, though, that jasmine's going to win, and if she does, she'll know she didn't deserve it and that most of america disagrees with her winning, so it would be such a tainted win for her anyway, which wouldn't be good for album sales or her self-esteem, knowing that she won unfair-and-square.
i half blame the judges, though, for even putting her through to the round of 32, because they could have put through Michael Keown instead, at least he can sing, even if he does forget the words all the time. then we wouldn't be bothered by this whole Jasmine thing. of course, the fact that they put Jasmine AND Matt Rogers through gives me little confidence in their abilities to recognize talent (except Sexy Simon, of course).

do you really think jasmine is going to win? until you said that the thought really hadn't entered my mind. if she does, it will pretty much be a disaster.

well, considering the fact that, other than matt rogers, i can't think of another person who should have been booted out of the round of 12 more quickly than jasmine, and the fact that she won out over Lisa Leuchener (a much better singer) to get to the round of 12, it's a possibility that you should prepare yourself for.

Yeah, I'm still miffed over the whole Lisa Leuchner thing. Especially when the terrible and haughty Leah LaBelle was picked over her!! I'm just glad Simon had the sense to pick George Huff, since he made us sit through the torment of Ca-a-a-armen Rasmusen last year!

ugh, agreed about leah labelle. lisa should have made it through.
