since i almost made one person snort milk and got several other compliments about it, i decided to post this here (i wrote it in the comments section)...
ode to dirt
if i had only one place to choose from,
and all the others were full,
i'd cry my pretty eyes out and feel bummed,
'cause lubbock would not be so cool...
i mean, sure they have coach bob knight
(don't you dare call him bobby...)
but how could life ever be right
when the cineplex is too small for a lobby?
oh, lubbock, lubbock, brown barren lubbock,
i'll go to you if i have to...
oh, lubbock, lubbock, traffic-free lubbock,
i'll go to you if i must do...
yeeeeehaaaaaawwww!
I'm thinking Randy Travis ought to release this one as a singe. :P I can so hear his voice doing it.

no way! if i write a song, i'm singin' it! in my head it's not nearly as country as randy travis (more like folksy). all i have to do is learn to play the guitar, i've even got the melody.

You're so selfish!!! :P Think about poor starving Randy Travis for once... look at him, all skin and bones, and no hits for years...
This is exactly what he needs to vault back into the big time!
And he'd be so grateful. Forever and ever I'm sure! :D
Larning to play the geetar is easy. Well, basic chords and strumming anyway, which is as far as I took it. :P Hard on the fingertips for a while. After the bleeding and the tears, it'll all be worthwhile! hehehe

yeah, boohoo for randy travis (and it's forever and ever amen). i'm a cpa, so between the 10-keyin', footin' and banging away at the keyboard all day, my fingers are well-calloused.

I think Little Jon could do this bit, but you'd have to add a lot more."Yeah"s and "okays" to the verses.
