... but i might have a stinkin' breakdown!!
you have GOT to be kidding me. this is the biggest AI travesty since Matt Rogers made it to the top 12, since Jennifer Hudson went home early, since EVERY SINGLE WEEK THAT JASMINE CONTINUES IN THE COMPETITION.
this time is not my fault, i really did try to vote last night more than once and couldn't get through, even close to midnight.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!
i'm not so much crying that Latoya got sent home, because i was thinking Diana/Fantasia in the top 2, but seriously. there is NO reason for her to leave this week, when "pitchy" Jasmine is still around. ugh.
don't get me wrong, she (Jasmine) is very sweet, i'm sure she's a nice person, but she doesn't have 3/4 of Latoya's talent, and i'm SO TIRED of ugly cutoff parachute pants!!! i don't know, maybe i'm just prejudiced against Old Navy poster girl clothes. bah.
girls are weird...oh well.

oh well.

Well, my three weird girls and my weird self were shocked at last nights show. Although I think we are getting used to these senseless outcomes. Apparently morons should not have telephones issued to them since they don't know how to vote. Jasmine should have been gone a couple of shows ago but when she started crying the other night I thought "that's it, she's is going to stay in because of sympathy votes". If only George Huff had cried, I liked him. My prediction is that next week after Jasmine's performance, Simon will be really nice in the way he tells her she stinks (like he did on John Steven's last night) then the voters will feel like "okay, she'll be fine now" and stop voting for her. Anyway, I'm just glad Fantasia is still around!

i hope you're right about next week. i think Fantasia/Diana would be a great finale.

Let's face it Diana was the only one who sang the best in both tunes. The other three to me were uneven in thier performances. Although, I still thought Jasmine was the weakest link and would have been voted off, I wouldn't have been surprised with Fantasia being voted off, she hasn't done anything to make me want to go out and buy her CD and that is what this contest is really about. BTW if you know who the actress Nell Carter is and have heard her sing, Fantasia could do a dead on Vocal impersonation. Unless Diana falls flat on her face, she will be signing a record contract by the end of the month (or at least her parents will since she is under 18).

Pitchy? I think that's being generous. People say "pitchy" when what they really mean is "You can't stay in key". Really, i was surprised to see Latoya go.

Literally seconds after AI was over last night, my mom called and ranted for at least 10 minutes about the show. My top 2 are Diana and LaToya (not necessarily in that order), with Fantasia 3rd and Jasmine something like 30th. She should have been gone long ago, and certainly last night. That said, I think they should change the process to have one-person, one-vote. And I also think AI should release the exact numbers of votes each contestant is getting.

I'm a Fantasia fan but I won't be surprised if Diana wins. She's got the bubble-gum crowd which also happens to be the got-nothing-better-to-do-but-vote-67-times crowd. Jasmine, as sweet as she is, is way out of her league and I think she knows it...

tim, i would buy fantasia's cd if they issued it tomorrow; she totally rocks. and i grew up in the 80s, so of course i know who Nell Carter is!
rightwingduck, i usually rant about jasmine even making the top 32, so yeah, she stinks.
jimmy, if i'd had anyone to rant to, i would have; oh wait, i have a blog.
oy, pam. :) yeah, diana could sneak in and take it, but i think it will be a by-a-nose fantasia win. but since the voters, myself excluded, seem to be musically challenged, we just don't know what will happen.

I sure hope Fantasia takes it! She's got attitude and I like attitude! ;-)
