NHL, why do you hate me so??

the conference finals are underway (tampa bay beat philly, yay!!!), and out of the remaining 13 possible games before the finals, do you know how many those of us who had to choose between cable modem and cable TV get to see?

1.

that's right. 1. i have no cable, and until the Stanley Cup Finals (*angels singing "ahhhhhhhhhhh"*), i get to watch 1 game at home; which really just gives me a great excuse to go hang out with my dear friends around the corner, but still! i've got packing to do and need to be home some! oh well.

so here are my predictions...

Tampa Bay in 6 over Philly... why? because i cannot abide that evil Jeremy Roenick, and that's about all the statistical info i need to back up my picks. love Hitch, but JR just ruins the team for me. plus, Tampa Bay's got that darling little Martin St. Louis and i just love him, and the Boolin wall's pretty grand too.

Sharks in 5 over Calgary... why? because, unfortunately, the Sharks have it going on. i would prefer Calgary, because they don't have Mike Ricci, but i'm also a bit realistic in the world of hockey.

Go Flyers..... (only IF they take it TO the sharks).. the Sharks seemed to be more disciplined on the ice, but always playing defense will leave an opening for the flyers. I think the Fylers need to rattle the Sharks, mess up their discipline to have a go at it...

oh, mac, i just assumed that you were assuming that your flyers were going to beat the lightning and that calgary would bow out to san jose. i didn't want to disturb your wishful thinking -- tampa bay is winning the cup.
