i'd like to thank the Academy... holy smokes, Batman! my entry into the IMAO T-Shirt Babe Contest was far more successful than i anticipated. going from ~300 hits a day to the over 1000 that i had yesterday is enough to make any babe's head swell. even if those California girls kick my pinky-toe, thanks, Frank, for the 15 minutes! it's been fun.
wrath of the Bikermommy... um, it has been pointed out to me by MoDe aka Bikermommy that i misrepresented our conversation yesterday... well, i didn't, but since she's a badpinky-toe and all, i'm not about to argue. Bikermommy did say i was in the top four, but she also said i was the winner. now i'm gonna go put some herbal remedy on my bruises from where she kicked my butt.
self-editing... please keep the comments "cussin'" free, or i will edit them to something sissy-sounding. i don't like those words, and my grandma reads my blog too! krakatoa has learned that "pinky-toe" can be seamlessly substituted for the a-word, and it works quite well! thank you for your cooperation... btw, this means no taking the Lord's name in vain, even in abbreviated form...
speaking of Grama... what a sweetheart, my Grama told me that i should write a novel and if i did she'd even read it!! then she told me that she would even buy a copy... um, Grama, i promise i'll give you a copy, you're my Grama!!
drrroooooooollllll...wow, so i turned on the TV this morning and flipped to the first thing that caught my eye/ear... Jon Ondrasek (WOW IS HE HOT!!!) and Five for Fighting are on GMA, and wow, i was already a FFF fan, but after seeing that hockey-player-lookin' hottie sitting at the piano and singing his awesome voice away, i'm rushing out today to finally buy the cd... oh wait... i'm unemployed. someone buy the cd for me! i was so embarrassed for the talker-people, though; they asked Mr. Hot to explain where the name comes from. it makes me sad when people don't know. oh well.
what day is it??? that's right, everybody, it's massage day!! going to see Mary soon, then, EEK!! I'M DOING WHAT?? i'm WORKING? yeah, i guess you can only go so many days without a paycheck before you realize that the bills don't pay themselves, so the little sizzle's got me coming in to help her with office stuff. then making petits-fours tonight (oh YEAH, i make great ones)... sounds like a full day! when EVER will i write last week's ALIAS review??
clarification... contrary to one or two people's opinion(s), hockey is the most superior of all sports; i hope that makes it very clear for everyone... no arguing!!
time to clean out the ears again... flipping channels at 3 am i heard that the Texas Rangers are in first place in the AL West??!!? huh? what is wrong with the world when the Stars are done in early April, the Mavs are done in the first round (ok, that's only a 4-year old habit, but in the MP, we start takin' stuff for granted right away), and the Rangers lead their division?? of course, it's only April, but they're usually done on April 4th... must be that hottie #9 Hank Blalock (all sports greatness can be traced back to the number and caliber of hot guys on the team... that's right, it's all about talent).
funny kitty-cat... it's so hard to yell at the kitty when she's so funny and reminds me so much of myself... Minerva (yes, named after Professor McGonagall) starts trying to sharpen the claws on my cardboard packing boxes and i yell at her... so she stops and makes her way to the nearby dresser, where she stares intently at the boxes, inching her way to the farthest end of the boxes from me... puts one paw on the boxes to see if mommy's watching, hears the "NO NO!", steps back to the dresser... repeats 3 or 4 times before finally giving up. i was trying to be stern, but it's hard to be stern when you're laughing.
Go Flyers........... (hopefully after wednesdays disaster)

mac, that is blasphemy! don't get me wrong, i love and recognize the greatness of Hitch, but any team of JR's is no friend of mine! no more of that talk! go Leafs! (sorry, but the Eagle, Nieuwy, no Jeremy Roenick -- no brainer for me!)
Posted by: sarahk | Friday, April 30, 2004 at 11:22 AM
eek, throw in Brian Marchment, though, and it's not such a no-brainer. but i still go with the Leafs.

I know there's no cussing in comments, but can I just say, "Got dandruff, some of it itches"?

um, sure. try Neutrogena T-Gel, it rocks.
Posted by: sarahk | Friday, April 30, 2004 at 11:42 AM
oh, now i get it. i sure felt stupid this morning. um, no, you can't say that either. :D

LOL @ Kingslasher. I LIKE it!
I like all sports, especially non-professional sports. The effort seems more honest.
Strangely though, instead of leaning towards manly sports like hockey, I find myself watching a lot of women's tennis or beach volley-ball. :P

krakatoa, why am i not surprised, you ancient perv? :P
Posted by: sarahk | Friday, April 30, 2004 at 07:41 PM
Not to worry, Sarah... that picture you sent kicks *[pinky-toe]* (will that be edited? [yes]), and even if those California Girls *do* knock you off, you'll still be bookmarked over here.
Not that I get a vote, of course... but I'm close... I HAVE met Bill Whittle (which is even better than staying in a Holiday Inn Express, if I say so myself).

thank you, hindmost, for the compliments AND the bookmark. i hope you'll read my posts and not just stare at my picture. ;)
say, could you put in a good word for me with Whitler?
i do like HI Express, because they have highspeed internet. that's what it's all about.

Not a question of staring at the picture, love, but rather being impressed beyond imagining at the Angie-Dickensonness of it all... like Angie was EVER that smokin'.
And here I am... dating myself with a reference from before you were born... just ask the aforementioned Bill Whittle... I'm sure he remembers the drool.

Ancient! Ancient???
Why if my schedule wasn't filled with shuffleboard and bingo, I'd show you a thing or two, little missy!
Posted by: krakatoa | Saturday, May 01, 2004 at 12:28 AM
Angie who? is that the Murder She Wrote lady? ;) wow, more smoking than Angie Dickinson, thank you!
krakatoa, i do believe you called yourself ancient a day or 2 ago -- no wait, that was me; well, anyway, it's already been established. i like shuffleboard, but the table kind, not the kind you fogies play on yer yachts. :P who are you calling little? just because i'm 5 feet tall...
Posted by: sarahk | Saturday, May 01, 2004 at 04:55 AM
I'm going to regret this. I know it'll just make you call me old and decrepit... but Murder She Wrote is Angela LANSBURY.
Angela Dickenson is the one who uttered the immortal words: "When I started shooting 'Police Woman', someone asked me if I had ever played a sleuth before. I said, 'Yes, many times.' I thought they were asking me if I had ever played a slut. I didn't know what a sleuth was."
Little wonder she had such an adoring public. :D
5 feet tall. Yup. That qualifies as little. I bet you hate going to amusement parks, eh? heehee

krakatoa, let me 'splain something to you. if i follow it with a ;) (wink), it generally means i'm being snide... i looked up Angie Dickinson and then remembered who she is, but i did know who Angela Lansbury was; she played Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast, so of course i knew!
i love amusement parks, but i do stand on my tippy-toes to qualify for the roller coasters.
p.s. you're old and decrepit.
