there are some things i want to get off my chest (like my shirt). why? do i need a reason? i didn't think so. :) if anyone has a problem with my candor, i suggest you close your eyes or hit Alt+F4. i will warn you: this is not for children.
1. last night, i slept neckid. because it really feels great to be neckid under a ceiling fan. i think i'll sleep neckid again tonight. and you know what? i like sleeping neckid.
2. i like living alone. because i can walk around neckid whenever i feel like it. as long as the blinds are closed, no one complains; of course, i'm thinking there wouldn't be a slew of complaints if the blinds were open. ;)
3. i also like living alone because just now when i belched quite loudly, i didn't have to apologize to NO ONE. the kitties don't really care. and if they do, what are they gonna do about it? they know who feeds them.
4. i hate wearing bras. if no one would flip out about it and if some folks wouldn't stare at my chest, i would never ever wear one. EVER. actually, a lot of people stare anyway (maybe they're wondering if i've got boobies since they are not prominently in view), so why do i bother?
5. i also hate wearing pantyhose. hate them hate them hate them.
6. this winter, since no one was going to be seeing me neckid, i didn't shave my legs. AT ALL. i didn't shave them until i was going to the dr. and felt i owed it to him. even though i had no clue i would be getting a special kind of examination that i should NEVER IN MY LIFE have had to have. wow, how many times can a variation of "have" be used in a coherent sentence?
7. i hate tighty-whiteys. i think the only thing worse than seeing a man in tighty-whiteys is seeing that they have crawled to an unmentionable location.
8. i like having doors opened for me. if i am walking with a feller, i don't care if i am related to him, friends with him, married to him (unfortunately i still do fit in that category) or crushing on him. i do not open my doors if there is a capable man nearby. i will fall back a little when we begin to near the door just so he is given ample opportunity to reach and open the door before i get there. and i am not ashamed of this. i love chivalry.
9. i alphabetize all of my CDs and DVDs. DVDs are alpha by title, but "the" is ignored though "a" is not. CDs are alpha'd by artist (first name), and CDs by the same artist are in chronological order. yes, i am AR.
10. i spend more time thinking about some of the characters in ALIAS than i spend thinking about real life people. truth is, they're just more interesting than nonfiction humans.
11. i think we should kill all the terrorists and wage war against the nations that harbor them. and in november, i will be voting on one issue. it is my right to feel this way, because there are many men and women who fight so i can feel however i want to.
12. i am from texas. i was born here and never thought i would move away, because like any good texan, i always believed i was superior to people from other states and that my state was the greatest place to live. last summer, i changed my mind, and honestly, i don't see the big deal. well, except that i like the way my state votes.
13. i can do without pizza, though i'll eat it if it's there and i'm hungry. i can also do without dogs, but i don't hate them like i used to. and i want to barf every time i hear ANY slow song by elvis.
14. i like veal.
15. and i think men who don't like sports are oversensitive mama's boy pansies.
go stars.
Good for you! :-) I would be naked if I could be comfortable in my own skin.

well, i'm not exactly comfortable in my own skin, but i have learned the art of closing my eyes when walking by anything reflective. it's pretty much a reflex these days. ;)

i've been inspired. i'm sleeping naked tonight. hope my wife doesn't mind...
btw. what's the difference between naked and neckid? naked is when you have no clothes on. neckid is when you've got no clothes on and you're up to something...

my apologies to your wife if she does mind. :)
well, you caught me. i couldn't begin to tell you how many pints of chunky monkey i've gone through while trotting around neckid. i've been up to lots of ice cream.

You remind me that I need to get some sherbet--rainbow style. I love living alone for the reasons you've described. It's a great bit of freedom I actually cherish, and I don't have to explain myself to anyone who finds it odd, strange or whatever. And I do a mad dash past my mirror to the shower so I too don't have to see me...

i love the blog because i learn so much about sidney's twin, sarah, daughter of spidade and bikermommy. lover of good, hater of evil and have you ever noticed sid eats a lot of ice cream too? only one differ on the texan thing...i am from texas and begat my children there (including sarah, sidney's twin) and even if i choose to live in the Netherlands, a texan i was born and a texan i will always be proudly...and when some dumbbutt from yankeeland says they are going to take back the whitehouse from texas, i am reminded of the old saying " there are only two kinds of people - those from texas and those who wish they were"...vote for George...oh, btw...ur so right about boys and sports...

#12 - Texas. Need more be said. Actually I moved from God's Country in 1997 to the East Coast. There are things I miss - Real Mexican Food (not corn tortillas with hormel chili dressed up like some enchilada), BBQ (all they got out here is that pork vinegar stuff), and friendly people. Look forward to the day when I go back to the Promised Land, but still like the rest of America - greatest country on God's homespun planet. Go Dubya!

agreed about the mexican food, i remember researching restaurants in florida when i was going there on a trip. fodor's had Don Pablos listed as the best mexican food in the orlando area; i knew i was not eating mexican food in florida. *sigh*
go dubya!
